by Eve Adam, a.k.a. Harmonic Eve With practical daisies and romantic roses A Tiffany vase is filled. It signifies love that came to us both; That came to us just as God willed. You chose not me and I chose not you, But God saw that we were a pair. "That couple back there in the last row," I heard, Soon after I sat in a chair. I had chosen the chair that was right next to yours Though I hardly knew who you were. When I came in late, the speaker revealed What God had revealed to her. I laughed to myself at how wrong she was then, But the joke was really on me, For ten years later, her fiction was fact; Now yours is the love that I see. With practical daisies and romantic roses A Tiffany vase is filled. It signifies love that came to us both; That came to us just as God willed. by Eve Adam, a.k.a. Harmonic Eve February 3, 2009 |
