Bro. Gene Horton~at age seventeen~

He gave His Heart to Jesus, Just eight miles east of Killeen, And He's become the greatest Pastor, That we have ever seen. He's seventy, and he's getting old, Or that's what "HE" implies, But Bro. Gene, has not a clue, How "We see him"_"through our eyes". We could never see Bro. Gene as old, He's just full of love and pep, And anytime he's ever needed, He is always there to help! He's interested in everything, Just like at seventeen, And still in love with his "Sweetheart", Phynetta_his wife and queen. He owns an airplane, and he flies, Through skies of blue each day, And while he's up there, close to God, He takes the time to pray. He preaches at the Rio Hondo church, This man called Bro. Gene. And he can "out preach"_ all of them, He's called "The preaching machine". The twinkle that is in his eyes, In the photo up above, It hasn't changed one single bit, They still twinkle with "God's Love". He does not limp, nor use a cane, There's a "Spring within his step", He's full of life and hope and love, And is filled with Joy and Pep. He may be seventy years young, That does "not" mean a thing, Except he's more in love with God, Than he was at seventeen. His good looks have not changed at all~ He's as "handsome" now as then~ He's so full of fun and loves everyone~ And he still has that "Cute Grin". Brother Gene can sing_"THE LIGHTHOUSE"" Like "no oher man can do", Yet He tells us, he is getting "Old" _but NO, He is _"Still As Good_As New.
