WHAT WILL YOUR VERDICT BE?
That I would ever see ~
Would "your life" show the "Love of God"~ Or false hypocracy~
Would you go on and on about~
"How Jesus set you free"~
The mercy that He showed that day~
While nailed there on that tree~
Yet if I needed help one day~
Would "You" help me to stand~
Would you reach out, with all "His love"~ And take me by the hand~
Or would you simply turn away~
With all your wealth and pride~
And leave me standing, all alone~
With fear and hurt inside~
Are you consumed, with all you have~
Yet never satisfied~
And you keep wanting more and more~
Forgetting Jesus died~
How is your faith, does it hold fast~
To His mercy and his grace~
If I needed _ "His Assurance"~
Could I see it in "Your face"~
Or would you just shrink back, in fear~
And let me see that too~
What kind of "Witness" do you show~
To make "Me"_ want "Him" too~
Is it, that You look down on those_
Less priviledged than you~
And hang out with that "Social Crowd"~
Who are so phony too~
I ask you_"do you live the life"~
That you "pretend" to do~
Yet when you crawl in bed, at night~
You know "it isn't true"~
The covers pulled beneath your chin~
Reflecting on the day~
How many have you "really" loved~
Or just lead them astray~
God can't be mocked, He see's your life~ He knows your heart, in fact~
Though you may fool each one_ and me~
God knows _if it's an "Act"_
So check out your behaviour~
"Seek His Face"_" In all you do~
On Judgement Day~I'd hate to hear~
Him say _I "Never" Knew You!!!
