When I look at my badly scarred body~
From the surgeries to keep me alive~ I remember your own "Nail Scarred" hands Lord~ And the horrible way that you died~ It is true that I did this for "me", Lord~ While "Your scars were for all of mankind"~ Makes me wonder if I should feel guilty~ For regretting these scars that are mine~ They've extended my life for awhile Lord~ While the scars that you wear, set me free~ There's no chains on this earth that could hold me~ In a grave, that's awaiting, for me~ My scars_ they're but worthless reminders~ While You bled and were scarred, for my sin~ And your scars give the same invitation~ For erasing the sins of all men~ I will pray that when one reads this story~ He'll repent, and give You _"All His Love"~ For the scars that you wear _bought his pardon~ And a home_up in Heaven above~ Father God, showed His wonderous mercy~ Sending You, Precious Lord, here to die~ And my scars can't compare _to those scars that you wear~ For they bought me a home_ in the sky I'll be true to you Lord _I'll be faithfull, And one day I will see Gloryland~ Until then I shall always remember~ Why you still wear those scars in your hand!
