(AT CHRISTMAS) and all year through!
As a time to put sleds in the snow~
As a time to buy tree's and to decorate ~
To buy gifts and to hang Mistletoe~
.
Why is it American's see Christmas~
As a time to invade all the malls~
And to add to their "credit card payments"~
When they cannot afford it at all~
Oh why is it Americans just keep buying~
Gifts, uncared for or just thrown away~
While forgetting _"The gift that God gave us"~
When the Christ Child was born on that day~
And why is it _there are no thoughts of Calvary~
Has it faded _from America's lens~
Don't they know that the "Babe in That Manger"~
Is the "Same One Who Died For Their Sins"~~
Why is it that American families~
Just continue to shop, buy and go~
Not remembering the gift that God gave us~
"When He sent "His own Son" here below~
It just seems that we're missing God's blessing
As we shop, give, and travel, or buy~
While the gift of love, God freely gave us~
Seems a "myth of the old days gone by"~
Yet we're quick to sing "God Bless America"~
When our nation is faceing great harms~
Is it just a song, sang when we're frightened~
Or does America _ really "Rest in God's Arms"~
I just think that it's time to remember~
In America_this great land that we trod~
All the many times God's Truly Blessed Us~
Now it's time for "AMERICA_TO BLESS GOD"!
Let's forget about Christmas trees and presents~
Lets be humble and thankful_not torn~
For it's time to thank God for that Baby~
And remember why_ "The Christ Child Was Born"!
