When I counted there were three~
And I knew the one on the middle cross~
Was the one who died for me~
I saw the people gathered there~
Saw the soldiers pierce His side~
Then I looked at my unworthiness~
And I bowed my head and cried~

I saw a cross at Calvary~

I saw them drive those rusty nails~
The blood dripped from His hand~ I saw the sunlight fading~ As it darkened cross the land~ I heard him say_"Forgive Them"~ For they know not what they do~ That was"Jesus" on that middle cross~ And He died for me and you~ |

I saw Him hang on that ole cross~
