I saw an old man all alone~So pale and helpless there~
The Nursing Home was filled with staff~yet no-one seemed to care~ He cried out for assistance_not one head even turned his way~ They simply just "Ignored" him~As he struggled through the day~ Connected to a feeding tube~and oxygen in place~ His bed was soiled and wrinkled~There was Terror on his face~ I walked into that old man's room~and took him by the hand~ He grappled _as he reached for me, like one in sinking sand~ |
The elderly need attention, love,care and compassion~ |

Oneday, some one will have to pay_As they stand
before God's throne~ For "No_One" will be helping them_they'll stand there all alone~ They'll answer when God asks them "Why"~ I wonder what they'll say~ For "No Excuse" is "Good Enough"..for what I saw that day~ God just may not take their excuse~Whatever it may be~ It could be "He'll toss them aside"_for all eternity~ I hope and pray_that's not their fate~I'll pray for them each day~ And really hope_when "They need help"_That "God won't turn away"~ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ PG BY JONI KASSEL_COPYRIGHT |
