Current City/Country: The Presidio
Greetings Chuck!
Well I'm now back in the Army as a Chaplain at the Presidio of Monterey. I read your article about our efforts to remember the crew of the Savage lost in Bedford, VA back in 1950. The Turner family was very pleased by our efforts. After 52 years, they were remembered.
On the way to Monterey, I stopped at Edwards Air Force Base to see Rogers Dry Lake for myself. The old hangers were there. I could just imagine 1950 all over again. The desert really hasn't changed too much since 590 went down. I just had to see it and say a prayer for the crew.
Thanks for all that you have done to keep the days of the Savage before us through the long lens of history. It was a remarkable program. So too its people. All
The Best,
Jeff
Chaplain

(Ed note: See website for Jeffrey's great efforts in the AJ-1 Memorial)
