The Vampires Lair

Deep in the bowels of a house grown old, Lies a silver coffin with dust and mold. Tall wrought iron fence with a locked gate, Keep intruders from an unplanned fate. Windows peering with vacant black eyes, Front door beckoning with it's creaking sighs. Something drives you to investigate, No turning back now its much too late. You're standing within its massive walls, Which way now theres many halls. The air is close and cobwebbed filled, You sense that many people have been killed. Cautiously you walk throughout, The basements where you end your route.Armed only with a dim flashlight, As the last sun rays retreat from sight. The grating echo of the coffin's lid, Draws your attention to where it's hid. You slowly realize with painful despair, You've mistakenly entered the vampire's lair.Author:The Gothic Maiden
