PURCHASING A BLUGRASS PUPPY
Here at Blugrass Shar-Pei, puppies are sold only as "Pets" on spay/neuter contracts. I want the best for my puppies and prefer they live in someone's home as their beloved compaion. So if you are looking for a breeding animal, I will refer youto another breeder I have confidence in to fill your needs.
Being a "responsible" pet owner means not adding to the numbers of rescues that all responsible breeders work to find good homes for. Responsible pet ownership means wanting a "companion". AKC papers are retained by me until "proof" of spay/neuter has been provided to me, at which time they are signed over to the buyer and the "Limited Registration" box is checked.
Puppies are sold to "approved" homes only. I have been known to turn down potential buyers for different reasons. If you walk away with a Blugrass puppy, you can be proud that you passed my test of "approval".
Also, if for any reason you cannot keep the dog at any point in it's life, it MUST come back to me unless we agree on the new owner you have found. I will take back anything I breed at ANY age and for ANY reason. No Blugrass puppy will ever end up in a shelter or rescue. It will come back to me.

I have no puppies at this time, but do have a bitch on co-ownership that I will be breeding next spring or summer. Please still feel free to contact me for puppies, as I have many friends who will be having puppies, and I can refer you to breeders I feel comfortable with, to do right by you.
