peacock about the size of my hand
this was an experiment to see if I could make a flys wing or a fishes fin
this was done with 5 minute epoxy and fine copper wire pressed between two sheets of wax paper
pocket dragon
the purpose of this tiny dragon was to test the limits of my scroll saw this is one piece of wood nothing on the dragon is glued. the item in the background is its carrying case
my mindset when making this was to make a container that was not square in any way and had to be made by hand the dark green area is completely covered with vauge tribe type designs the base sets on 4 feet the inside is also carved with designs
to make a very long story short many years ago I smuggled a seed pod from from a monkey pod tree in the costarican rain forest and I grew it here in the states but a cold snap killed it. this cane was carved from that dead sapling
the designs are based on the plants I remember seeing in that forest . this is a halaconia none of these photos really do just justis to the detail and colors
