Kevin S Lehman`s Train & Railroad Equipment Pictures

I have always liked trains since I can remember. My Dad, Jay H Lehman, got me my first model train when I was 3. I was born in Lancaster Co, Pa. Therefore, I visited Strasburg a lot. My family had a cabin in Miffin Co ,Pa . We went to The Horseshoe Curve, a couple of times , and also East Board Top Railroad. We lived near Manheim, Pa. I don`t recall seeing any Reading trains running there. My parents divored in 1980. Mom and I moved in with her parents . They live in Mount Joy, Pa. I saw a lot of Amtrak trains. My Mom and Step-Dad, Ron E Haines Sr, and I moved to Delaware on 9/22/84, because they got new jobs. Things didn`t work out at their jobs, so we had to move again. The next house we moved to has the best train watching/photo taking places that I have lived in. It is in Coolsprings, De near Milton, De. The traintracks cross Rt 9 & Rt 290 . That was my introduction to a shortline railroad, Delaware Coast Line Railroad . Which was cool. Ron was secruity guard at the time and managed to get me a cab ride, in a RS-3M at Drapper Canning Co in Milton. It was short, only doing some switching there, but it was fun. Some years later I would get another cab ride in a SW-800 from home to Barcroft and back, thanks to Ken Kidd, former President of The Delmarva Model Railroad Club. I saw some interesting railroad equipment on the line where I lived . I have seen engines come and go and change paint schemes on The DCLR. The Maryland & Delaware took over both branches of DCLR ,that I knew about at that time, from Georgetown to Lewes and from Ellendale to Milton. I saw Queen Anne`s dinner train begin and also the Wednesday train begin and end before I could ride it. The Wednesday train wasn`t a dinner train. Once I saw all the passenger cars coupled together. I joined the Delmarva Model Railroad Club in Jan `98. In Nov` 98 we moved yet again .
