STAR TREK & Science Fiction (Under Construction)

At the end of this website I have added information about the STAR TREK series on TV and the history of Science Fiction. Many consider author Jules Vernes as the father of science fiction. His many stories of space travel in "Journey to the Moon", or The Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" as the forrunner of science fiction..and H.G. Welles' "War of the Worlds" is equally inspiring to many generations.

This is My Husband Bill..He'd rather be playing GOLF..

Bill says that Astronomers are merely observers working in a science over which they have no control and upon which they cannot act.

I dedicate this website to my hero Carl Sagan (1934-1996)

..and to My Husband Bill, My Son Richard, My Daughter Betty, and my Granddaughter Jackie. ..They are the true Stars of My Life.

Stars in your Eyes * What you will see with Binoculars:

Saturn's rings, Jupiter's Moons, and the

Andromeda Galaxy--so long as you have a good sky chart, such as the one by Astronomy magazine at www.astronomy.com. However, if you look up without binoculars (Naked eye astronomy) you will see the grandeur of stars that number in the billions.
If you are lucky to have clear, dark skies - you will see the Milky Way.

IOTA * Why Occultations?

The International Occultation Timing Assoc. (IOTA) provides predictions, promotes the observation, data reduction and reporting of lunar/asteroid occultations and solar eclipses.
