The Story of my Life-----If there's enough room, that is !!

   I was born----Briliant start ----right? :-)
Well, I was, even tho' it was a mistake !! My brother and Sister were 8 & 9 years older than I. Nuff said !!
I'm 3rd generation Native Californian, and proud of it !!
I always say, I was born in Sacramento and raised in CA. as I've lived in so many places. From L.A. to Trinity County, way up in Northern CA.(the best part-hehe)
I lived my young life with my Grandparents, as my parents were divorced when I was only 6 mos old. (not my fault--I swear !)
My Grandfather was the "Oiler" on the last Gold Dredger in the State of CA. We moved when the Dredger moved. My Grandma was the Chief Cook and Bottle Washer for the crew. When the "Gold" ran out, we moved to the city !!
What a change that was, but I soon made friends and got used to it.
My school years began in a one room school house with all 8 grades being taught there.
By the time I was in the fourth grade, We lived in Palo Alto,CA. In the San Francisco Bay Area, and my Mom lived with us too. My Step-Dad was in the Navy and so was my Brother. It was the time of the 2nd World War.
My Mom was one of the first 5 people hired by Hewlett and Packard. They worked in the Garage of Mr. Packards Parents, but when the war started
their growth was Phenominal !!!
That was also a very scarry time of my life !! Blackouts and never knowing if Dad and my brother were safe. Very hard for a little kid !! All ended well for us tho', everyone came home safe and sound.
It was about this time that my step-sister, Dona, came to live with us. I had a big Sister !! Wow !!
I was so spoiled rotten, I still wonder why she loves me. My Brother and Sister were already grown and gone, by the time I was living with my Mom and Dad, so this is really the first real sibling I'd had.
When I was a freshman in High School, we moved to Trinity County, Ca. A little logging town called "Hayfork", Ca. That's right !! Hayfork !! :-)
My Aunt and Uncle owned a Lumber Mill there with my Uncle's 5 brothers. We started by living in a tent and by the time I was thru' high school, we had built 2 houses, side by side, with a 1/4 of an
acre garden between them. Now I had the best of both worlds, my Grandparents and the Family!!
I was a full fledged Mountain Gal by this time and got married at 16 yrs.of age and had 2 beautful boys !! It didn't last tho' as you might have guessed. 5 yrs. later we were divorced. Then I jumped out of the frying pan into the fire, and married an alcoholic without knowing it. I'll skip the next three terrifying years, if you don't mind !!
My boys and I survived tho' and two years later, I met my Don !! That time took, and we were married for 38 years. Until his death on December 30th, 1998
Well, he brought 2 beautiful daughters to the marriage, to begin with, and then my Angel Daughter came along after his death.
1999 was a very hard year for me. Actually it began in June of 98, when my Brother died. Then I lost Don in Dec.In Jan,99 my best friends brother died, In Feb. my Sister, Lois, died. In Mar. my best friend, Dora, Was killed in a senseless car wreck !
In April, my Son's Father-in-law, died and in May my Great-Great Nephew was born and died two weeks later from SIDS. It stopped there, Thank God !!
On Feb. 17th of 99 I got a letter in the snail mail from some gal in TN. telling me she had been looking for her birth Father for 20 yrs. That's right, Don !! He had never mentioned it to me in all 40 yrs. that I had known him !! Little Devil was in the Navy at the time and home on leave !! Just couldn't keep those buttons , buttoned , I guess !!
My Angel, felt soooo bad when she found out all that had been happening in my life, but she was my saving grace and didn't know it yet !!
She's such a nice person, that She had waited until after the Holidays to write, thinking she didn't want to upset the Family over the Holidays. Then found out that her Dad had died, just after them.
She had no way of knowing about my Sister and the others.
She , of course, was full of questions and I'm so thankfull, because it kept me busy and helped me thru' those days !! After her $70 dollar phone bill and my $72 phone bill, I happened to mention that I had bought a Web Tv in Jan. but hadn't set it up yet. She talked me into giving it a try, and here we are !! The best money I ever spent !!
I've skipped over a lot of my 66 years on this earth, but as in most lives, I raised kids, worked full time, kept a house full of love (most of the time---- :-) ) it also had a lot of "Dust Bunnies" running around and we had our share of ups and downs.
I don't know if I would have survived this last year without all of my "Kids" And Family And Friends support and the wonderful Cyberfriends that I've made.
I want to Thank You all individually and collectively, without you, Life would have been a MESS !!!!!
  As it is-----Life's Wonderful !!!
I'll be talking to you !!!!!
