Below is the translation of the menus on the title screen of Policenauts for both the Playstation and the Saturn version. The menu options in white work on both versions, while the ones in yellow are Saturn-only menu selections...
**MAIN TITLE SCREEN MENU**
1) Start New Game
2) Load Game (On the Playstation version, you choose which memory card to load from)
3) Options (Scroll down to Menu B for more options)
4) Shooting scenes (Scroll down to Menu C for more options)
5) Saturn Extras (Scroll down to Menu D for more options)
**MENU B**
1) Subtitles ON/OFF- choose to have subtitles on or off during the game
2) Pronunciation Help ON/OFF - Helps pronounce the words out syllable by syllable
3) Font Style - Choose either "Gothic" for movie-style font or "Mincho" for novel-like font
4) Cursor Speed - Choose from 5 speeds in this order: Slow, semi-slow, normal, semi-fast, fast
5) Displayed Lines - Choose to have 2 or 3 lines at at time on screen
6) Controller Config. - Choose from left handed, right handed or one handed
7) Calibrate "Stunner" light gun

1) Shooting Trainer
2) Choices from #2 and on vary from each disc. On Disc #1, the shooting scenes were the Old LA shootout and the Old LA alleyway chase.

*OKAY, HERE'S THE FIRST PART OF THE BOMB-DIFFUSION.....IN THIS STORE, YOU HAVE LEARNED A BOMB HAS BEEN PLACED IN ONE OF THESE BAGS...YOU MUST FIND THE LUGGAGE PIECE THAT EXACTLY MATCHES THE ONE PICTURED ON THE LEFT IN THE PICTURE, AS IT IS THE ONE WITH THE BOMB INSIDE....WHEN YOU FIND THE ONES THAT DON'T MATCH IT, CHOOSE THE BOTTOM COMMAND TO OPEN AND CHECK IT...DO NOT OPEN THE ONE THAT MATCHES THIS ONE...IF YOU DO, OBVIOUSLY, YOU ARE HISTORY...YOU WILL EVENTUALLY BE LEFT WITH A BAG THAT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE ONE IN THE PIC.......REMEMBER, ONLY OPEN THE ONES THAT DONT MATCH THE PIC......SOME ARE OBVIOUS, SOME LOOK NEARLY IDENTICAL.......BE CAREFUL
*OK, YOU FOUND THE BOMB..NOW TO DISARM IT...FIRST OFF, TAKE THE PLIERS AND CUT BOTH WIRES ON THE LEFT (EXACTLY WHERE THE PLIERS ARE IN THE PIC)..IT DOESNT MATTER WHICH WIRE YOU CUT FIRST....JUST CUT BOTH...
*OK, NOW THE SECOND PART...TAKE THE PLIERS AGAIN AND GUIDE THE LITTLE GRAY SWITCH THRU THE LITTLE MAZE (YOU CAN LEAVE THE SWITCH AFTER YOU'VE GUIDED IT THRU IN THE WHITE AREA NEXT TO THE WIRES YOU CLIPPED)...MAKE SURE TO NOT LET GO OF THE BUTTON ON YOUR CONTROLLER ONCE YOU GRAB THE SWITCH...ALSO,IF THE SWITCH HITS ANY WALL ALONG THE MAZE.......BOOM!......TAKE IT NICE AND STEADY.....
*OK, YOU'VE MADE IT THIS FAR...NOW YOU MUST UNSCREW THE FOUR COLORED SCREWS...DO NOT UNSCREW A SCREW WHEN THE LIGHT IS RED....THE PAUSES BETWEEN THE BLUE AND RED LIGHTS IS - LONG PAUSE, LONG PAUSE, LONG PAUSE, SHORT PAUSE).....WATCH THE LIGHTS..... REMOVE THE SCREWS IN THIS ORDER : YELLOW SCREW, BLUE SCREW, RED SCREW THEN THE GREEN SCREW.....
OKAY...YOU REMOVED THE SCREWS,LIFTED THE PLATE AND WHAT DO YOU FIND?? MORE WIRES!!...OK NOW...TO MAKE THINGS EASIER, I WILL LABEL THE WIRES FROM LEFT TO RIGHT AS THE FOLLOWING (LEFT SIDE) 1,2 (CENTERED WIRES) 3,4,5,6,7 (RIGHT SIDE) 8, AND 9....OKAY, CUT THE WIRES IN THIS ORDER...WIRE #3..THEN WIRE #4..THEN WIRE #1..THEN WIRE #7...NOW THE CLOCK TICKS DOWN FASTER ALL OF A SUDDEN....NOW CLIP WIRE #9 AND PRESTO!..DIFFUSED BOMB
