My First Time I met Jonathan for the first time on Tuesday March 27, 2001 in Indianapolis Indiana. I took the Greyhound since I ran out of patience waiting for him to come to my neck of the woods. I arrived at the club about 1 hour before doors were set to open. When I arrived, I noticed Jonathan through the glass door inside onstage. I watched through the door as Jonathan set up. He later came outside and I said Hi Jonathan and immediately asked for a hug. Jonathan was so kind, warm and friendly to me. Jonathan put on such a great and entertaining show. Jonathan's voice was in top form. His guitar playing was excellent. And seeing him dance will have you laughing, crying, and screaming for more all at the same time. You haven't lived until you get to see Jonathan Richman dancing! Since Jonathan is so kind and friendly, after the show, he met and talked with anybody that came his way. He graciously stayed around until he was sure that everyone who wanted to talk with him did.
