For the beginers: What is Pokemon?
Well, the Pokemon phenomenon started with the popular video game. Pokemon trainers around the world are battling, collecting, trading, capturing, and trying to master these wonderful creatures we call Pokemon.
The animated series follows the journey of pokemon trainer Ash Ketchum. Along with his friends, Misty and Brock, and his pokemon, Ash travels around the Pokemon world searching for new Pokemon and also, battling constantly for the honor of Pokemon Master.
So what is Pokemon all about you ask? Well, Pokemon is all about friendship and teamwork. Caring about your pokemon is the most important thing. Each pokemon has it's own strengths and weaknesses. It takes a true Pokemon Master to realize these things of their own pokemon. To be a Pokemon Master you must know the ways of pokemon and also know how to use them in battle.
As you should already know, a Pokemon Trainer earns badges on their pokemon journey. After a trainer has earned all the badges for a League, they may enter the League and compete against other trainers. If you follow the T.V show than you know that when Ash competed in the Indigo League he lost to Richie because his Charizard wouldn't obey him. But, after earning all of his badges from the Orange Crew, he managed to win the Orange League in a match against Drake.
Ash Ketchum is currently in the Hoenn region starting his new adventure. The only Pokemon he brought with him was Pikachu and both Misty and Brock are gone. How will Ash fair in this new region alone? Stay tuned to find out!
