I AM TARA's FAN BECAUSE.......

• She is the most beautiful and entertaining person alive! When Tara is skating, everything else is secondary. When Tara is around, the air is charged, and when "The Champ" has the chance, she proves HER HEART is her greatest asset!
  

• I am Tara's Fan because of the person she is.  There are many great skaters, but Tara has something extra special.  The sparkle in her eyes, the joy in her heart, and the determination of her spirit, inspires me to reach for the unreachable just as she does.
  

• I am Tara's fan because of the kind of person she is.  I love figure skating but I don't think I would admire Tara as much if she wasn't a kind person.  I don't just look up to Tara and love her because she is a figure skater.  She is one of God's creatures and she is a terrific person.  Anyone who was blessed enough to have met her I am sure that has left a big immpression in their lives.  Tara is a great role model especially for teen girls and younger girls.  She has great faith and loves her family so much.  I think she would do anything for them.  I know that if one of Tara's fans was in need of a few kind words and even just a hug Tara would be there for them.  Tara has touched my life in many ways that I could not even express enough thanks to her.  I will never be able to tell her how much she has meant to me.  I am not sure I will never be blessed enough to meet her in person but I hope and pray that one day I will and I know if I do, I don't think I could put into words what I wanted to say to her.   I am sure I will not win this contest but I would still like for Tara to see this.  I pray for her and her family every day and I thank God for giving Tara to us and I thank Mr. and Mrs. Lipinski for raising their daughter to be such a beautiful person.  Tara, thank you for being such an inspiration to me.  Thank you again for being you.

• I am a Tara fan because she is one of the few things in my life that can always put a smile on my face. Whenever I'm feeling down I just pop one of my Tara videos into my VCR and she makes me forget whatever problem is going on in my life. Although I have never met Tara she helped me alot through my parents divorce. I was in a slump for months about it. I didn't want to talk, I went through severe depression. I cried every night about it. One day I decided to watch one of my Tara tapes and it was the first time in months that I smiled. I can't help it, she just makes all my worries go away. I have never felt the way I do when I watch Tara that I do from anyone or anything else. I don't know what it is about her, shes just magical. She is so special to me. I look up to her so much as a mentor and role model. She is my hero, and thats why I'm a fan!

•          I am Tara's fan because she is an truly inspirational person. She accomplished so much at such a young age, and she had fun doing it too! Tara has taught me to have fun playing violin, and to try my hardest to succeed. Many people have said that playing a musical instrument is sissy, but she has taught me to fight through all the doubts. I have been very successful in violin since 1998, and I honestly believe that Tara has had a major role in that success.         But despite everything she has taught me, I admire her devotion to her fans. She must be one of the most popular athletes in the world, and yet, she makes sure to keep them informed about her life, and takes time to answer the tons of fanmail she receives every day.         Ever since I became Tara's fan, my outlook in life has changed. I used to think about everything in a negative manner, but her positive attitude made me feel that I could accomplish anything I wanted if I had a positive attitude. I have found that to be very true.         Tara is a wonderful person, and when the time comes for her to hang up her skates and venture into another field, I will still support her. I admire everything about her, and hope that I can live up to her fine qualities.

And the style of music she skates to is upbeat and fun. She also has this on ice personality that just *sparkles*. I just can't get over the fact that she's NOT a skater who's been a pro for 5 to 10 years LOL it's like she was born to be an entertainer. She is someone that I feel anyone can look up to. Even people older than she is. She brings life into the programs, and I think she brings life to those around her.  I also love how she proved to the world that a little girl with big dreams can achieve them before she stops growing. For that she is a sports hero. She brought America yet another gold medal, and she's given me a hope that I can make my dreams come true. If I believe...
  

• <9/24/01> I am Tara's fan because she is a positive influence icon for all kids, teens, and even adults.  Her Heart of gold reaches out to people of all ages.  I look up to Tara as my top role model, not just because she is a Olympic Champion, but because of what she has accomplished in life, and for her amazing personality.  I have witnessed personally that Tara does not want to leave the arena after her Stars On Ice performance until her fans are happy.  She thinks of and cares for every fan that she has!  Now, is that a high class act or what?    Tara has inspired me in so many different aspects of life.  As I said before, she has accomplished so much in her life, everything that I dream of accomplishing.  Also, I really admire that she doesn't get a big head and is a down to earth girl.  I just can not put to words how I feel about Tara, how much she has influenced me, or how  nice of a person she is!  Tara's beauty is by far not just skin deep, her attitude, personality, and her love for her family, friends, God, and fans is astonishing.  Maybe someday I will have the chance to just get a hug from Tara herself.    Tara if you read this, I'm writing this for you, not just to win a contest, although that would be nice.  I want you to know that I plan to follow in your footsteps and I will always be a true fan.  Hopefully I will meet you face-to-face someday, which will fulfill my dream.

When she's on the ice she is determined to do what she is there for, and she doesn't give up. She always tries her best and never gives up trying. She's the best role model ever! She skates so gracefully. It actually seems so easy to figure skate, when you are looking at her doing her dances and spins! I get all excited if Tara is on a magazine, newspaper, or on TV! I'm Tara's Fan Because.....

• ..... At the Olympics all of the odds were against her, Michelle was the favourite and in most eyes Kwan had already won. But Tara went, she still gave it her all, she had the best time of her life , she won and she inspired others like myself to make their dreams come true. She proved you could make dreams reality if you worked hard enough.
  

• ...because she never gives up and is always reaching for her dreams. She's a tough athlete and a Fighter. One reason I call her a fighter is because she trained extra hard through all the pain in her hip. She knew she could do it and she did. Another reason is she fought extra hard to win the gold medal and she did. I am also Tara's fan because She can do the impossible and she can make other dreams come true. She's a living inspiration, and she is the best Ice skater ever.

• I am Tara's fan because . . . of the person she is. What she's done and what she stands for. But most of all because of what she does for her fans, the way she makes them feel special. She makes so much effort to thank them for not only gifts but for support in general. Whenever I receive a letter or autograph in the mail from her, I am just too thrilled, it makes me feel so special. She makes me feel like I mean something to her. And that's exactly what a fan wants to feel. it's totally worth being a Tara Lipinski fan. and I will *never* turn back! :)
  

• I am Tara's fan because she's simply "the best." I first fell in love with Tara's skating in 1997 when I was "Walkin' On Sunshine," on a Tv special. I was about 8 years old, watching Tv, and there was Tara, jumping and skating and dancing all over the place. And that smile!! It just looked like so much fun. It just made you feel better and forget all your troubles-- to see that beautiful smile!! And now, 5 years later, it's still the same. No one is pushing her to skate, no one was pushing her to skate. No matter how hard it got, and who didn't believe in her, she still accomplished her dream of Olympic Champion. And it was just "pure joy" like she said. You could see it, and feel it, as you watched her skate and I'm sure the audience at White Ring could feel it there. It's just pure joy to watch her skate, because she's having so much fun. Tara's heart draws you to her too, she's so wonderful and beautiful inside and out. She's caring and gives so much for charity, (the Miracle Match tour) and she's so great!!!
