I am known as an fanatic animal lover in my community. LOL If anyone has strays or animals they can't keep, they usually call me. I mostly do cat rescues, but have been known to find homes for other animals. This page is about my latest rescues........3 small kitttens who were litterrmates. They were abandonded in a subdivision in town. The woman who found them and called me said that she couldn't keep them because her small son had severe allergies and one of the neighbors had threatened to kill them. I made the trip right then to get them! There were 2 males and one female. Yoda, the smallest male was totally a buff orange color. He was named that because he reminded us of the Yoda character in "Star Wars". He is the "Dennis the Menace" of the cat world. If there is anything he can get into......he will. Bull, the other male, was a buff orange with a white collar and "apron". He was named that because of his personality. He just "bull dozed" his way over everything! LOL He is also a huge cat. His paws look like catcher's mitts. Sissy, the only female in a household of 4 males, was the smallest of all of them. She was the most delicate little thing. Sadly, she has been missing since December. She has been seen around the neighborhood often, but by the time I get the call, and get out there, she has already gone. I keep the hope that one day, I will eventually catch her. She is the only cat that has ever gone missing from here. All of my cats are indoor / outdoor. They have all been spayed / neutered and are current with their shots. We live so far from the main road, and no close neighbors with dogs, that I feel confident that they should have some measure of freedom. I know that all people would not agree with me on this. They all rarely ever get out of the yard. We have a weeping willow tree below our driveway that is their favorite place to hang out. They come in and out when they choose. Not all of them are out at the same time, and not all are in at the same time. They pick their own schedule. LOL However, when twilight starts to fall, they are sitting there in front of the door wanting in. They have never stayed out at night. |

I really don't know why I gave Oscar his name, It just seemed, for some reason, to suit him. He was such a playful little fellow, and the biggest thief that ever lived! He'd pack off and hide bottle caps, money, anything that made a noise or was shiny. Ealry one morning, he was on the end table and jumped down, I heard a "clink", looked up, and there he went with hubby's partial plate! Hubby has to hide them from him even now. |
This is an older recliner that we have and don't use a lot. It's also the favorite napping place of all of them. They can't all fit in it, so it's first come, first serve!
