2000 Roan Appy mare Dream is a daughter of the leopard Six Gems Hot To Spot, and out of Soats Lil Toffee, a lovely buckskin mare sired by Soats Lil Buckshot. Her bloodlines also include Bozemans Frosty Feather by YellowDiamond LIttle Feather and Shadow Oaks Cock Robin, by Chianti. (See the mares page for her complete pedigree.) Dream aquired several halter points in her brief show career including Reserve Champion in her Futurity out of a class of about two dozen. She is registered as a black, but appears to be a dark grulla! I do not believe she can produce a red foal, as all her foals have been black based even when bred to a chestnut stallion several times. She usually settles on her first heat and produces small refined foals with a big eye and small muzzles that are nicely balanced. Dream has had five foals in a row, the last four have all been under 20" at birth. She is open this year, my choice. Am offering for sale for a limited time only, or would consider a trade for the right A/R fewspot or snowcap colt or stallion. Must be good quality with refinement. No silvers or dilutes, prefer black, bay or chestnut based. If not sold by January 1, will be removed from the sales list. |

April 2009 Finally the last foal for 2009 is here and Melody did not disappoint me by presenting another Appaloosa foal as all of hers have been! Born April 30, 21.25" tall, a nice silver dapple snowcap colt! He is a full brother to Heather Glens Phantom and is a grandson of Shadow Oaks Cock Robin by Chianti. Cock Robin's dam was Vanilla 3rd, also granddam of Buckaroo. He is also a great grandson of Freckles Pride. His dam is sister to several successful show horses, including a multi champion AMHA driving horse. She is a granddaughter of both Piney's Shawnee Brave and Bay El Bey. and her pedigree also includes Davis Comanche, Dell Teras Jim Dandy, Pirate by Pepper by Chianti and Starlites Chief. 2007 Varnish Roan Born March 14, 2007. Misty is refined and pretty, with a long neck and legs. Her bite is good. Though her sire and dam are both under 34", this filly may be a B sized mare, so is registered AMHR at this time. Misty is very graceful with a long floaty stride. She carries herself with a natural arch to her neck and will be one of those with beautiful headset and balance. She is very friendly and the first one to meet you at the gate. He has Appy characteristics and when clipped this fall, there were white hairs showing, so he will probably color like his dam and granddam did. He has plenty of leg and good over all balance, and his bite is perfect. His dam, Heather Glens Nutmeg, did well in the show ring at halter with limited showing. She has a powerful and graceful trot with a huge stride. His sire Renegade has also done well with limited showing in color, liberty and halter and is a National Top Ten winner. This colt should make a fabulous driving prospect, youth gelding, or.....? No height guarantee for AMHA. Measures 30.75" at 9 months. Sells with A and R applications. SOLD! Foaled May 26, 2006- a very ultra refined true grulla colt complete with Appy characteristics,dorsal stripe and lots of primitive leg striping. He measured 20.5" at birth, and 14" from elbow to ground, he should mature around 30.5". (On 10/3 he was liberally measured at 25 1/4" at 4 1/2 months old) He is sired by a true few spot Appaloosa who is the product of generations of Appaloosa breeding including CR Mystic Warrior, RF Bars Dollys Baby, who goes back to the black leopard Tiny Tim, Komokos Son of Running Brave, Komokos Little Fire Water who is a daughter of Chief Whitenose sired by Chianti, and she is also the granddam to Carousel Designer Legacy Smokey's dam Dream (see mares page and for sale above) has accrued many halter points, including a Reserve Champion in her Futurity. I thought he would never arrive! Well worth the wait, this bay leopard colt looks to be about 21". He arrived on March 4, 2006. Refined, he has a lovely arch to his neck and long legs to die for.
