JOHN MADISON HARRIS

John Madison Harris, 73, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Irvin Butt of Rt. 1, Bramwell, Saturday night after a long illness.

Other survivors include four brothers, Jesse Harris of Bramwell, George Harris of Lynchburg, Va., Sam Harris of Flemingsburg, Ky., Elbert Harris of Warren, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. J. K. Robinette and Mrs. Charles F. Carter, both of Pocahontas, Va., Mrs. Claude Wilburn of Radford, Va., Mrs. Ray Moore of Rt. 1, Princeton, and Mrs. Lois Fleming of Alhambra, Calif.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Shumate-Newman Funeral Home in Pocahontas with Rev. J. A. Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Monday.

John Madison died May 10, 1975. Obituary appeared in the Bluefield Telegraph newspaper of Bluefield, WV at that time.
