This is a booklet from my collection titled "Radio At War." It was published by KOA in 1944 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the station. In addition to containing a lot of information about the involvement of radio in the war effort, it also contains some great historical information and photos of KOA from 1924 to 1944.

A postcard sent out in response to listeners who wrote in about the 'Shorty and Sue' program on KOA. I can't find a date on the card but there is mention of Defense Savings Stamps on the rear so it must have been during the World War II era. The program was sponsored by the Adolph Coors (beer) Company. The card was sent to a listener in Boulder, CO using a 1½¢ postage stamp.

This photo shows an original EKKO verification stamp for KOA. This stamp was produced by the American Bank Note Company and is probably from the 1930s or 1940s.

This is an old KOA QSL card from my collection. This card was sent to a listener in Utah in 1937. It indicates that KOA was on 830 kilocycles at that time with 50,000 watts. The station was associated with the National Broadcasting Company.

This 1958 KOA QSL card depicts the Colfax Avenue transmitter site and the 475' self-supporting tower. (from the collection of Randy Miltier)

This is a 1962 QSL card from KOA AM & FM.

For many years television channel 4 in Denver also carried the KOA call sign. This is a 1963 QSL card from KOA-TV.

This book is a collection of recipes that was distributed by KOA in 1965. It is called the 'Hello Neighbor' cook book.

This is a 1977 QSL card for KOA and their sister FM station which, at that time, carried the call sign KOAQ. (from the collection of Bill Harms - be sure to check out Bill's great web site for QSLs and much more at http://philcobill.com/index.php)

This is a 1980 KOA QSL card. This card was addressed to me for a reception of KOA at my former address in Rockford, IL. At that time KOA was owned by the General Electric Broadcasting Company of Colorado, Inc.

Ironically, this is one of the last QSLs I received in IL. A few weeks later I moved to the Denver area where I have lived ever since.

Two types of bumper stickers that have been given out by KOA in recent times. The upper one supports the Denver Broncos football team and the lower one supports the Colorado Rockies baseball team.
