This site is dedicated to all those that Crewed & Maintained the B 29 Superfortress.
I began all this while doing research on my Dad a Pilot of the B -29 in the 505 Bomb Group 482 Bomb Squad . Over the past couple years I have learned a lot from the Veterans who served , Thank You to All ! Until a couple years ago there was little on the internet concerning the B 29 . Now the interest is growing ! I am interested in all aspects of the B 29 from WW2 to Korea . My main objective is to chronicle all I can on the 505 Bomb Group . I have a good start on the site Thanks to the 505 Veterans & their descendants.

Crew Lists
The crew list is mainly the original crews of the 505 & the Squads of the 505 (482-483-484 ) Replacement crews as in those that joined the 505 after they were on Tinian is a grey area I have a couple added to bottom of the list . The 505 Planes
The planes of the 505 . Here I have listed many of the planes with their serial number & nose art names . The most detailed part of this index is the 482 Squad . Wendel Van Syoc the Equipment Officer of the 505 / 482 kept all his notes from Tinian without these notes we may never be as far ,if ever, in chronicling these planes . His notes are as precise as one can get detailing losses & transfers . Allen Dale Kemple another 505 Vet has been matching the notes of Wendel to the crew s & nose art name s . Thank You both ! I am also constantly gathering any info on the 505 planes from a variety of resources .
