You can't be fired for whistle blowing, or a disability, but if you were convicted for a bounced check or being a dead beat dad ten years ago, they will have an excuse to fire or not hire you. BLACKLISTING Many states now allow criminal records to be put on the internet. During the 50's this was called being blacklisted and many famouse movie actors lost there jobs and couldn't get acting jobs because they were listed or blacklisted. -------------------- The one major problem that I have with this is that you will no longer be able to pay your debt to society and get on with your life. Even though you may have only one minor crime on your criminal record, you are publically listed as a criminal for life. NO EXCUSE IS A GOOD EXCUSE TO DISCRIMINATE: Yet we make excuses to make laws that do discriminate and they sound good, but it is to easy to take something that sounds to good and use it to hurt the innocent. For example; I want it made legal to publically list all those who have AIDs, Herpis, and other uncureable deseases on the internet, so if I ever deside to fool around, I won't have to worry about catching these things, without having to relie on a condom.. Its my right to be protected from these things... It would give me a chance to check out the person I plan to date and get her criminal record and Health record to check her for having AIDs or other nasty health problems. These are our excuses to make records public. BANKRUPTSEY I bet those filing bankruptsy wouldn't want there name publicly listed to protect the public from them. But attempts have been made to make it legal to publicly list them and I even found one website that did and found two relatives listed. The website didn't last long. It would also protect the child from nasty split up battles and make it easy for children to find out if there are health problems that run in the fathers family. COMON SENCE There are so many things we wish we could be better protected from, but when we start with one we have to move to the others to have equal justice or equal protection. I mean, wouldn't it be nice to be able to go to the internet to see if the guy expects sex when he goes out or see if the woman is willing to make love on a date, just by going down a public list, so the guy wouldn't have to worry about being falsley accused of rape or the woman doesn't have to worry about being raped. They would both know in advance what the other wants. But what an evasion of privacy this and all public list provide to anyone. Its just not right !!! PROFILING Making records public on the internet is called profiling and everyone will have a profile that anyone can see. We already have so many public records of the livng that need to be gotten rid of instead of adding more. BRANDED FOR LIFE So many of these types of protections end up with anyone accused being listed or suspected being listed, to be sure we get everyone who could be a danger to us. Being profiled is being branded or labeled so everyone knows the kind of person others think you are.
