Well, time for a new obsession here in Hermesland, don't you think? We're starting a series of reviews of that beloved British spy spoof of the 1960s, THE AVENGERS. For the moment, I intend to concentrate on the seasons which teamed up Patrick Macnee as John Steed and Diana Rigg as Emma Peel (rowr!). It's not likely that I will be checking out some of the earlier episodes with Kathy Gale or the later ones with Tara King but you just never know with me.
We'll start with some of the shows I don't recall ever watching before. It's been so long since I've watched these that they seem brand new to me. Die-hard Avengers fans, imagine the delight of realizing there are episodes you hadn't seen yet....
