You aren't doing anything wrong when you are trying to I c/c/p'd a table code and then had the problem of missing <<>img's and missing <<>a 's-----and text displayed when there should have been the table/image thaaaang, when I viewed the results. Demonstration below. Several solutions: 1. This might cause problems for computer viewers of your site: Add <<>html> at the top of the editing area you are working in and then c/c/p the html code into the area, and it should show up ok. Demonstration below. NOTE: Webtv adds an opening and closing <<>html> to all webpages, so using the extra <<>html> above may cause problems for computer viewers of your webpage. It has no effect on webtv viewers. NOTE: When just typing in html codes and not using c/c/p, <<>html> and <<>/body> and <<>/html> are not needed. Using multiple html and body code tags may cause problems for computer viewers of your webpage. 2. Another solution------don't add the <<>html> code at the beginning of the editing area, c/c/p the code in as usual, then go through the entire code and "tighten up" the html codes, deleting any blank spaces where the problem occurred on the viewed page; pay particular attention to the areas where a new line is formed for the code-----delete that space also, so the code jumps back up to the previous line. Then you can use the "space bar" to re-create the space you need between codes like <<>imgsrc to <<>img src If you still have problems with codes showing, go through and delete just this portion of the following codes: <<>a href=" and <<>img src=" of all the codes and manually type them back in right after you delete them. After deleting and re-typing the codes and tightening up the blank spaces---everything turned out ok. Demonstration below. Here is the table code that I was trying to c/c/p into an "add an item" -- "text" area. And here is the webtv-altered-code after Webtv added various things to it. This is what is causing the problem. |
