Homage to Marcel Duchamp Mixed Media 2000 "FOUNTAIN 2000" was recently on display in the SALON DES REFUSES Exhibition May 25 to June 30, 2001 Juror: Courtney Curtis Curator of Exhibitions Boca Raton Museum of Art Broward Art Guild 530 N.E. 13th Street Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (954) 523-4824 The Salon des Refuses Exhibition is juried from the work that was rejected from the HORTT 42 Exhibition by jurior, Lois Riggins-Ezzel, Director of the Tennessee State Museum. In 1917, the Salon Committee rejected Marcel Duchamp's "Fountain" from it's Exhibition. He had to exhibit his sculpture in that year's "Salon des Refuses". History has a way of repeating itself. |
