~ Sept. 8 & 9, 2001 Walhalla, North Dakota ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This year, we had a record turnout of dedicated riders from all over, including surrounding States. The ride took place at the Brick Mines, in the beautiful, scenic Pembina Valley, just west of town. We set up camp in a large grassy meadow, beside the soflty moving river. The weather was great, only 3 drops of rain on Saturday's ride! The catered supper consisted of prime rib and all the fix'ns! We DO need bigger plates! The traditional bonfire and entertainment followed, which continued into the wee hours of the morning. Just a little two-stepp'n was going on! Sunday awoke to an absolutely wonderful catered breakfast, followed by the ride.

On behalf of all of us who enjoyed this years ride, I would like to thank all the people who make this possible, every year!! Countless hours are spent organizing, making phone calls, taking reservations, checking trails, cutting firewood, hauling water, mowing the meadow and so on.
