Wayne Lauback Wins The Maryland Bass Federation Nation Mr. Bass Tournament |

May 5th and 6th is a glorious day for Wayne and the River Ratz. Wayne made the Ratz very proud when he took the MBFN Mr. Bass Tnx by storm and won that darn thing. He enjoyed the second place spot after the first day with a 5 fish limit of 17lb 9oz. The second day of the tournament proved to be very challenging for all the contestants. Very high north winds blew the water out of the bay and made it difficult to find fishable waters. Wayne put his thinking cap on and figured it out. He caught another limit of bass that weighed 11 pounds for a total of 28-9 and won this prestigous tournament. Wayne's lunker for the tournament was 5 lbs 7 oz.
For winning this tournament Wayne is awarded the Team Captain status on the 2007 MBFN State Team. They will go to Pittsburg in the Fall and compete against the other state teams in our region. This is the road that us amatures take to the Bass Masters Classic. We wish the team members and especially Wayne good luck in this upcoming tournament. Congratulations Wayne and we hope to see you in next years Classic. |

During the second club tournament of the season Tom reels in a big one. 7.72 pounds is what she weighed on the Equilizer scale. She was caught on the Susquahanna River outside of the Marina's in Havre de Grace, MD. Tom used a Green Pumpkin Magnum tube from Bass Pro Shops to entice bubba to eat. He brought her to the net with Shimano spin tackle and 10 lb test Excel Fishing line.
This is Tom's personnel best and a new club record. WTG Tom. |
