Tnx # 1 Potomac 4-7-07

On the way down to Smallwood we were driving in a blizzard. I was wondering what the heck we were doing. Snow stopped falling as we arrived. As nature go's though the weather just got started. We fished in very high winds with temps in the low 40s. Not many fish caught. Gary caught 2 bass that weighed 4.57 lbs. He also took lunker honors with a 2.87 pound bass.
Bll came in second with 2 bass that weighed 4.51 lbs. and Tom took 3rd with a Large mouth that went 2.58 lbs. Another tough day on the big river for the Ratz.
Congrats to Gary on the win!!!

Tnx # 2 Susquehanna 4-28-07

A new record in the club thats unlikely to be broken, but you know what they say about records. It was a decent day for fishing but we didn't get many bites for some reason. The one bite that Tom got was real big though. He caught a 7.72 pound Large mouth bass to take first place and lunker honors. The tube jig comes through for Tom again.
Bill Knotts weighed in one bass as well that went 4.29 lbs. for second place. Charlie hooked up with 2 fish that moved the scales to 3.53 lbs.
Congrats to Tom on the win and new Lunker for the club history books.

Tnx # 3 Susquehanna 5-26-07

Another nice day on the Upper Bay and the Ratz had a little more luck with the fish catching.
Gary has won his second tnx of the year. He methodically moved from target to target and reeled five fish to the boat. His efforts for the day came to the tune of 14.33 lbs. Its the biggest bag so far this year and he's now in first place.
Jeff also had a good day by catching four bass that weighed in at 11.47 lbs. Tom dragged in 3 fish for 7.58 pounds. One of those fish weighed 3.81 lbs. which was good enough for lunker honors. Thats his second lunker of the year.
Congrats to Gary on the win, second for the year.

Tnx # 4 Conowingo Lake 6-9-07

Once again we headed up to the lake that Paul Dubois nick named Conostinko Lake. This body of water always seems to give us some type of trouble. Floating obsticles, such as trees, and 2-3 foot waves was this years blockades for fine catching. Those of us that did find fish found them on the downed trees laying in deep water off the bank. Charlie said he had his limit by 0900 and then it was all over. It didn't matter though, he still won. We use the measuring method up here and his fish weighed 7.50 pounds
Tom took second with 4 bass that went 6.40 pounds. Tom caught 2 of his fish in the last 20 minutes of remaining time.
Wayne rounded out the top three by catching 2 bass that weighed 4.38 pounds. Wayne also caught the Lunker bass and it went 3.50 pounds.
Congratulations Charlie on your first club victory.

TNX #5 Bush River, 07-21-07

The Bush River got tough for us this time out. With a cold front, high pressure, and North winds blowig the water out the fish were not eating well. No one was able to catch a limit. Jeff came very close by catching four fish early in the day. He told us he started with top water but had no takers. He switched to a white spinner bait and caught his bass pretty fast. He said the bite didn't last long though. His four fish weighed 11.35 pounds and gave him first place.
Tom was able to hook three fish on top water for a total weight of 6.21 pounds. Wayne caught two bass that tipped the scale to 4.78 pounds. Wayne also had lunker bass which weighed 3.70 pounds.
Congratulations to Jeff on another win. Jeff is in second place overall and pulling on the coat tails of Tom.

TNX # 6 Dundde Creek, 08-25-07

The River Ratz oozed out of the Dundee Creek no wake zone wait of the 6:00 am blast off. Five boats screamed down the river to their first fishing hole of the day. As it turned out, the catching was very tough for most.
Charlie D. found some bass to take 1st place in our six tournament of the year. He caught 4 bass for a weight of 7.40 pounds. Wayne came in second place with a catch of 4 fish totaling 6.22 pounds. and Jeff grabbed 3rd spot with 2 Large mouth weighing in at 3.70 pounds.
A guest of the club caught the lunker bass, and it weighed 4.46 pounds
Congrats to Charlie on his win.

TNX # 7 Elk/Bohemia, 09-08-07

The Elk and Bohemia Rivers turned out to be challenging for most. I think it was again the weather and large boat traffic. Waves as big as our bass boats were bounceing us around like toys.
Only two anglers were able to get fish in the boats. wayne threw a frog all day and hooked four bass good enough to get them in the boat. Wayne said he had 13 bites all day. He was doing something right because he won the tournament. His fished weighed 8.48 pounds.
Tom was able to catch a limit of fish using frogs and spinner baits. His five bass dropped the scales to 8.02 pounds. Toms bass of 1.97 lbs took the lunker money because Wayne did not enter the Lunker contest.
Congrats to Wayne on his victory
Its shaping up to be a tight race between Tom, Jeff and Wayne for the Mr. Bass honors.

TNX # 8 Susquehanna, 10-13-07

We decided to launch from Tydings and open up the Bay for our last tnx instead of drive around to the Sassafras. Tom went over to the North East River to catch his limit of bass. He took first place with a weight of 10.74 pounds.
Bill caught 2 fish that weighed 5.11 but one had died so his final was 4.81 He also had the Lunker for the day. It was a nice 4.10 pound bronze back.
Gary took third with 2 bass that weighed 3.60 pounds.
Congrats to Tom on the win and Mr. Bass honors for 2007
