SUNRISE OR SUNSET

THE GREAT ESCAPE!

Bo is such a goofy dog. He is always doing something that makes me laugh. Even when he is being naughty he makes me smile.
<>
The other day I stepped out onto my front porch pick up a package that UPS had left for me. As I picked it up I could see Bo opening the screen door with his nose. "Neato!" I thought, "Bo is opening the door for me!'
<>
The package was big and heavy so the door opening seemed like magic as I carried it inside, "Good Boy!" I told Bo, as I put the package down. I turned around just in time to see the last of his fluffy tail go out the door a split second before it closed all the way.
<>
He was standing there wagging his tail and trying to decide which way he wanted to go. "Stay! Sit!" I told him. He sat down and grinned up at me. I started to open the screen door to let him back inside. I probably should have grabbed the leash I keep by the door and put it on him---but I thought that he would just come right back in with me--No problem. I didn't count on the cat that ran through the front yard just as I opened the door.
<>
"Bo!" I yelled. Too late. He was off chasing the cat. I set off chasing him. He cornered the cat under a neighbors van. At least he thought he had the cat cornered. From where I was I saw the kitty scoot out the other side of the van and disappear over a fence.
<>
"Come on!" I told Bo. "Time to go home!" He didn't want to leave. He was sure that cat was under there and determined to wait.
<>
I pulled on his collar. He refused to move! I pulled a little harder, he acted like he was choking, so I stopped. Then he sat there his tail wagging watching under that van. I had to laugh.
<>
Finally before anyone saw us and called the men with the nets, I picked him up and carried him back. He whined a bit, sure he was missing out on catching that kitty. I wondered what he would do with a cat if he caught one. So that was the great escape.
<>
Thanks for reading! Bo wants to know--Do you think the cat is still under the van?

OH NO!!!!

Bo chewed up my Blackberry! I heard some strange chewing in the living room and went in there to find Bo chewing on this!

<>

<>
I think I almost finished it when I left it on the end table to check on the laundry. I forgot all about it untill I heard the chewing and found Bo with it. Now all I got to do is find the spoon I left in it. Ah it was by the end table!

Thanks for dropping in! Blackberry yogurt is safe for dogs isn't it?

INSIDE THE BOX?

Everyone wants to 'think outside the box.' What the heck does that mean? I've never heard of anyone getting into a box to think. Really if you think at all, you are thinking outside the box.

Unless...Well, one year for Christmas I got a doll that was bigger than I was. She was kind of moody and I could never get her hair right. But she came in a great big box. Yes, I was one of those kids who ignored the toy and played with the box it came in.

I would sit inside that box and listen to the TV sometimes I would peek through a hole my dad had made in it for me. I discovered that most TV shows are better inside the box. (humm... I bet that is still true) Though I do remember peeking through the hole when a commercial would come on. I don't know why.

Now I don't remember doing very much thinking inside the box. I don't remember what I did but I do remember that it was a neat place to be, like a fort or play house. Guess I just liked to hide too. Although I don't think there was a person in the house who didn't know where I was.

I seem to remember the box eventually just fell apart. Maybe I shouldn't have tried to move it without getting out. I sort of bounced, leaned and turned, and the box would move enough to get a better view of the TV. I even remember getting close enough to reach out and change the channel.

I often wondered what the box looked like moving from the outside. Of course I was on the inside so
I couldn't ever see, but I like to think it looked--surreal or at least funny. Too bad the box tore and then disintegrated. They ought to make cardboard sturdier. If they did and I had been more careful I'd probably still have it.

About the doll. I think she left to get a hair transplant. I don't think she liked me moving into her box. I swear when no one else was around she would give me a dirty look right thorough the peep hole.

Thanks for reading! Have you ever thought inside a box?
