When you are allowed to make a Silkess Maltese a member of your family, this means that you too are a very special person/family. While some folks may take affront to the "adoption proceedings", please do not take offense – it is just one small measure of how much love and care Cindy puts in her little puppies. She wants the best for her "furry babies" – just as you want the best and healthiest little puppy you can find. Based on my dealings with Cindy over the past year, I can personally guarantee you that she puts considerable effort and expertise into raising the healthiest puppies possible. Cindy is a "walking encyclopedia" when it comes to Maltese – and the best part, is that she is more than willing to share her knowledge and experience with you. I can also attest to the fact that Cindy will be there for you and your puppy 24/7. If I may offer one piece of advice: "When it comes to the health and welfare of your puppy, LISTEN TO CINDY – while your Vet may be a board certified Doctor, Cindy has over 20 years experience with this particular breed, and if your Vet is totally honest and worth his salt, he or she will acknowledge and weigh Cindy's expertise when rendering their decisions.
My husband Dan and I would also like to take this opportunity to publicly THANK Cindy for allowing us to adopt Abby and Zinny – they have brought so much happiness in to our lives. To give you just a small glimpse of the type of caring person Cindy is – she continued trying until she succeeded to get in touch with us after the September 2003 Hurricane Isabel hit the Southern Maryland area to make sure we were all o.k. In addition to our two "furry kids", we have also gained an invaluable friend.

He only requires a bath once a month just like you suggested and is very low maintenance with his new puppy cut. He is the smartest little puppy we have ever had and was so easy to train. "I would highly recommend puppies from Cindy Guarino. I've had one of Cindy's puppies for approximately three years now, and couldn't be happier. Cindy spent a great deal of time on the phone with me before I brought my Sophie home, and she has continued to be there whenever I have a question or concern. We share frequent emails and telephone calls and Cindy takes as much time as is necessary to make sure all my questions are answered. She genuinely cares about her puppies and is very careful that they go to appropriate homes where they will receive the love and care they so deserve.
I've always had dogs (including another Maltese for 13 years), but I can truly say that Sophie is the all around best baby I could have ever asked for. She is completely full of personality, very loving, extremely adaptable, and easily trained."

"Frankie Bender is a 15 month old male who lives in Cary, NC. He is mischevious, loving, and extremely intelligent. He graduated from Pet Smart Basic I training and starts Basic II in January 2004. After that he is going to "Click a Trick" class. He is also a very independent little boy who loves his walks around the lake, liver treats, and people and dog watching from his deck which looks over a little lake. His neighbor is a St. Bernard named Tonka, who is very gentle and loving. Of course, Frankie is the boss when it comes over ! Frankie weighs 5 lbs 6 oz and has a beautiful, proud Maltese gait like you see on the shows.... "

Buttons Stallings lives with her family in Richmond, VA.
"Buttons was born on "leap day" in Feb. 2000, and we got her that May. We could hardly wait to pick her up, and Cindy encouraged us to get her before Memorial Day weekend so her "baby" wouldn't be on the road during the holiday traffic crunch ! The entire adoption process was wonderful; Cindy answered all of our questions - some of them more than once, probably ! - and still replies whenever we email her with a question. Buttons has been a true joy to have - she was so easy to train and quickly dispelled any notions we had of treating her like a "dog" - princess status was more what she had in mind! Wherever we take her, she charms everyone she meets - even people who thought they didn't like small dogs. Our daughter just adores her baby sister, and frequently says, "What did we do for fun before we got Buttons?" We did considerable research before getting a pet, and we are absolutely certain that we found both the right breeder and the right breed for us ! "

"Rex took Max to the Vet this a.m. and he checked out just fine. The vet said he is a perfect puppy! Healthy, alert and social. Also said its obvious that the breeder knows how to breed and how to get puppies off to a good start ! His health, appearance, attitude and intelligence are a reflection on how well bred he is. So, congratulations on the fine job you did with Max. Also thanks again for all the time you spent with us and all the information about how to care for him."

What can I say, just look at her! For months I searched newspapers, local breeders and the Internet looking for just the right puppy. I knew what I wanted and Cindy had her. I found out right away though that I could'nt just call her up, give her money and walk away with a puppy in hand. I loved the fact that she had to find out about me before she would even talk about selling a puppy. That means that she is in the business for the right reason. We adore our little angel. She not has a beautiful babydoll face and a long flowing coat, she has a sweet, sweet personality to match. In our eyes she is flawless. Thank you Cindy for your dedication to the breed.
