~OF OUR AMERICAN, BRITISH AND AUSTRALIAN HERO'S~ |
They never asked to leave their home~
And over sandy deserts roam~ They never requested this ugly war~ Nor to leave their loved ones~ And to travel far~ But once the need for them was known~ Their mighty courage~Then was shown~ With shoulders high and bags in hand~ They left their families~ To protect our land~ |
We watched them as they soared so high~
Above the clouds, up in the sky~ We were so proud as we could see~ They'd fight for us and Liberty~ It wasn't easy_no not at all~ Because we feared that some would fall~ The older and the young ones too~ Prepared to die for me and you~ |
So hand in hand, we watched to see~
The news reports on our TV~ We watched their bravery~We watched their style~ We were so proud, we had to smile~ But in each heart~our fears were known~ Would "All of Them"~Be coming home~ |
And now we know that's not to be~
They've left this earth eternally~ But though our "HERO'S" left this sod~ They're safely in~THE ARMS OF GOD~ |
To all the families and friends who have lost a loved one, in this war_Our hearts_thoughts_and prayers are with you. May you find Peace in the Living God!
