MELTING:
1.
We all, come from Greatness,
much greater, than we.
Vaster, than a glacier,
that's inching, to sea.
The ocean, is where,
all glaciers, must flow.
So we, inch along,
to where, we must go.
2.
Glaciers, move by inches,
creeping, to sea.
You could, almost say,
inching, reluctantly.
If you're inching along,
but you don't know Where,
just keep inching along,
inching will get you There.
3.
Glaciers, and oceans,
are made, of the same,
They're both, made of water,
just have, different names.
So, many, mysteries,
everything, holds
in, wondrous bodies
and, timeless souls.
4.
The first, lesson of ice,
we each learn, for ourselves.
if we look, long enough,
what we're looking at, melts.
When I look, in the mirror,
time makes plain, for me.
That I'm also, melting,
from what I, used to be.
5.
Parts of the ocean, are beginning, again,
becoming a mist, floating over the land.
Then the cloud chills, and turns into snow,
and piles itself up, to form ice down below.
If I'm like an iceberg, where am I from?
What, is the ocean, from, which I sprung?
Where the vast glacier, that once sired me?
From whence came the cloud, where I floated, so free?
6.
The tip, of the iceberg,
that's all, I can see.
That's like, the wee bit,
that I know, about me.
When I look, in the mirror,
time makes plain, for me.
that I'm also, melting,
from what I, used to be.
7.
We come, from Greatness,
much greater, than we.
Vaster, than glaciers,
inching, to sea.
We'll all keep, inching,
that's our, certainty!
Until,
we have melted,
into,
Eternity.
(For the closing of the song: repeat all lines of verse seven, then, close with only the last six words.)
