1.
I'll sing you a true song,
about Bumpity Bob.
He's got seven big gardens,
one heck of a job.
Oh, how he loves watermelon,
and corn on the cob,
he's my best buddy,
is old Bumpity Bob.
2.
His shirt is all splattered,
and his pants rather worn.
Boots are all battered,
and his face weather-worn.
A gentle, yet giving,
soul to his core,
his house is one,
always opening its door.
3.
His planting begins
early in spring,
after the wild geese
have been on the wing.
He welcomes all,
and all they can bring,
but, I do have to warn you,
he does try to ..........sing!
4.
if you happen to visit
and there's nobody there?
Bring your friends right inside,
and pull up a chair.
Get a drink from the fridge,
there's plenty to share.
And, sooner or later,
someone will be there.
5.
So, gas up your car,
or walk, if you must,
but make up your mind,
it's Bumpity or bust!
Bring along all your cares
and the rest of your load,
to the Bumpity House,
at the end of,
the Bumpity Road.
6.
With my song almost over,
what more can I say?
if you want peace and quiet,
I've pointed a way.
And if you love watermelon
and corn on the cob,
well then,
you've got a buddy for life,
in old Bumpity Bob!
7.
I've sung this true song
about Bumpity Bob.
How he loves watermelon,
and corn on the cob.
But if you need help,
with a really tough job,
I recommend my best buddy,
ol' Bumpity Bob
8.
So...bring along all your cares,
and the rest of your load....
to the Bumpity House....
at the end of...
the Bumpity Road.
9.
And if you need help
with a really tough job,
I recommend my best buddy,
old Bumpity Bob!
