There was always known to be a grave at the rear of the old church building that was the first burial in this cemetary. Maggie Simon /Pruitt/ White states it was a relative of her father's (Walter Simon, Sr.) they brought on a train from up north to bury and her name was Aunt Harriet
(? last name) when she was child.

There is also known to be an older cemetary in Carson/Leroy, Al. called "THE BIG FIELD". My mother states it is behind the Gissendanner & Ina ("Pop") Powell homes back in the woods. She states, you could see old markers and big tomb stones from the cotton fields. She is unaware if there are black , white, or both buried here, or anyone specific by name but, her mother told her a former wife of #57 on this list William Spencer is buried there ? her name.
UPDATE: Ms. Callie Morrissettte states she recalls a brother of #16 William Simon & #21 Walter Simon to be buried here and his name was ? Henry Simon
