CHERRY'S SWEET POTATOES Cherry is a wandering Buddist Monk who says his name Cherry is his opinion on life ~ sweet on the outside, and inside the pits. The word in Japanese meaning Cherry can also be translated to mean deranged monk. He is usually camped out often in empty lots where he can set up his tent and build a fire. One of Cherry's most favorite foods is Sweet Potatoes that he cooks in his fire. The fire can be built on the ground as Cherry seems to do, perhaps because the ground is hard. The Sweet Potatoes can be buried and cooked in the coals and ashes until they feel done. NOTE~ White ashs contain salt. The fire can also be built below ground though it seems Cherry seldom does. If the fire is built a couple feet or so below ground with steep sides when you leave, cover it with leaves and grass and then bury it with dirt. After you dig up the fire later the coals will still be hot enough to start a fire with them even after it has rained heavily. Make sure it can not be dug up by an animal while you are gone.. The coals will remain warm and not go out so you can dig the fire out afterwards, restart it starting wilt light tinder, and continue cooking. You can wrap Sweet Potatoes in leaves like Grape and Maple leaves. Dried Corn husks make great wraps as they are fibrous and thick. They should be soaked abit before use as a wrap for them or other vegetables. Then bury the Sweet Potatoes in the ashes and leave them until they are done, or you can put them in the pit, cover with green grass and dirt letting them steam until you get back to them depending how you like them cooked. If baking or steaming them in a pit below ground wrap the Sweet Potatoes in green leaves like Grape leaves. Taste the tip of the leaves before useing and consider how it would be if the taste was lots stronger and make sure it is edible as a food. Some leaves add an interesting taste like Maple leaves and Basswood leaves. I am considering using Sassafras leaves next time. What kind did you use? MAKE SURE THE LEAVES ARE EADIBLE AND WON'T HURT YOU. TREES WITH PITCH SHOULD NEVER BE USED. IT IS POISONOUS. Bury the Sweet Potatoes (Beneath this spot Sweet Potatos got really steamecd } in the ashes/coals . If the fire is below ground after you bury the Sweet Potatoes cover the coals very completely with lots of green leaves and grass. Cover with dirt/earth until you are ready to dig out the Sweet Potatoes, Dig them out when you figure they are done and soft in the center.. Cut open to release steem before eating. REI'S BEEF BOWL GYUDON REI Lums ex fiance visited a Ramen Shop and ate so much Beef Bowl Gyudon that he became a Tiger striped Bull, and he ate so much it put the owner out of business. However Uruian currency is so valuable on Earth that when the Ramen shop owner was paid in it he became rich. 4 Cups Rice ~ 2 Cups Water 224 Grams sliced Beef ~ 1/3 Cup Soy Sauce 1 Medium Onion ~ 1/3 Cup mirin 1/4 Cup Oil ~ 2 Tbs,. Ginger Juice 4 tbs. Vegetable Oil Put 1/4 Cup Oil in pan and add 2 Cups Water and 4 Cups Rice. Boil then simmer till cooked evenly. Cut the Beef into very thin slices if not obtaineed that way.,.. and 6 cm. in length.. Heat 4 Tablespoons Vegetable oil in a frying pan or wok. Wok's up Doc? Slice the onion under water to keep the tears out of eyes, and to represent all the tears Rei shead missing Lum. THEN Dry and Stir Fry till it is well done. Add the Sliced Beef stiring until it isn't red clockwise to bring in positive energy, MAKE A SAUCE combining 1 cup water, 1/3 cup soy sauce, 1/3 cup mirin. Add it to the Beef stiring together clock wise. Remove and stir in the Ginger Juice. Put Rice in individual Bowls and spread Beef and Onion over the rice. Add a few tablespons of Soy Sauce. Cover and serve immediately. Suggested Beverage with Beef Bowl Gyudon is Green Tea as Lum's hair is green. Any Tea left over can be used to wipe the table clean as I observed in an Oriental restaurant I ate at.

A LUM CHRISTMAS STORY Twas the night before Christmas as on Earth it is called But on Uru it is called the Eve of the Great Galactic Ball. When all through Ataru's apartment it was so quiet and nice Not a sound was heard but Ataru sneaking like some mice. Then he suddenly threw open the refrigerator to grab what was there The shape of a woman he'd carved in ice with a lovely pair. As he fondled it he dreamed sucking on ice and some tea Yet what he had wanted though really nice made Lum fussy. Then in the sky there arouse a loud noise and a clatter He ziped up his pajamas wondering, "Hey what's the matter?" The pain he felt.then as he saw Lum sleeping in her closet there. And as she purred Ten slept near in an overstuffed chair. Ataru looked out the window and saw a large space ship All covered with tigar stripes, and it was really quite hip. He knew from it's size it had to be Lum's Father's Ship Unless it was a new transportation for good ole Saint Nick. He heard a whine and on the roof the sound of heavy feet Suddenly from the ship came a grunty and a real deep sigh. He heard Lum giggled as she dreamed and Ataru knew why Then suddenly Ataru heard a sound that come from out of the blue Santa came down the chimney on Cherry's Sweet potatoes too. "I knew it!" said Cherry. "From the Chimney Evil would come this way. But I can't understand why the Sweet Potatoes didn't keep it all away." Then Lum's Santa Dad began opening his pack and hung each tigerr stocking Decorateing the tree with some Tiger Stripped bulbs and lights he started to sing. Ten suddenly woke and flew slowly awaking Lum "It's Santa Dad!", he shouted. " He's come, He's come." Suddenly Ten's nose started to snivffle, and twitch as if by a sudden itch. Then he sneezzed a flame that lit the fire place and made Ataru flinch. Everyone held hand's then.. dancing all around Lum's Dad sitting there As they sang gayly praise to a creator beyond the universe somewhere. Suddenly what should appear but a whole lot of food and a great seat Then Rei materalized, and said, "Season's Greetings! Come on let's eat!" Afterwards Santa Dad went to his Saucer and gave a loud whistle And then flew off into deep space like a great unguided misstle. Yet every one heard him exclaim as he slowly vanished into the night.
