The cheerleaders are a squad consisting of 24 members who represent the University at many different events on campus and around the community. They cheer for all football, volleyball, and women's basketball games. The squad is coached by Derek Giandolfi who brings in a great deal of experience and knowledge to the team. He cheered for five years and was the captain for two of those years at the University of Central Florida. He also worked for eight years as an instructor for the Universal Cheerleading Association and acted as their territory manager of Florida for three years.
You will find these talented young men and women on the sidelines cheering on the crowd and doing many acrobatic moves and stunts during the game. They are the official embassadors of the game.
