ABOUT ME JOHN MITCHELL
I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 2, 1956.
I first moved to Florida to Fort Lauderdale in 1965. I attended all my schooling there, ending with my high school years at Plantation High and South Plantation High. After school I moved to Tallahassee.
I immediatly fell in love with the town. I stayed there till I joined the Army. I enlisted as a clerk typist, and took my basic trainning at Fort Knox, Kentucky. I was trained as a clerk at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and then was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia for the remainder of my time.
After the service I moved back to Tallahassee. I have held many professions since then including being a carpenter.
I now live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania again. I have been in Pittsburgh now for 10 years. I had recently work all that time as a vault technician for a local bank.
I first became a Seminole fan when I went to my first of many home game, a rout of Kansas State, 33-7. I had never been to any sporting event other than my high school football games to that point. I was thrilled! It was then that I started to follow the Seminole football program, and have been a huge fan ever since.
I tried to go to as many home games as I could before moving back to Pittsburgh in 1995. Since I can no longer go to the games, I decided to make a wepage on the team.
I first got my webtv in 1999 and immediatly searched the web for anything on the Seminoles. To my surprise I could not find the kind of fan page that had all the information and history on the team and university that I longed for. Hence I decided to make that fan site a reality myself.
So this webpage is the fruit of my labors to that end. I hope it is helpful as well as interesting and entertaining to all my viewers. I try hard to keep it current, and correct. It may not change much during the off-season, but it will change almost daily during the football season itself. So I hope you will check back often. Thank you for your time and I hope you thought it was time well spent.
