I am the Archangel Raphael (Ray) and I bless you. My only concern for being an Archangel has been proper representation of this character. The overwhelming positive response that we receive everywhere we go gives me gratification that we have properly represented the Archangel. One of the situations which comes up, and tickles me every time it happens, a person will approach us while we're walking around enjoying the Renaissance Fair-- We have our wings down. "I can see that your costume is an angel, can I take your picture?" So, we move away from them to pose for the picture. I unlock my wings, and bring them forward. "Oh! they open!" Then, I raise my wings to full bloom. "Oh my god!!! I had no idea they open all the way up!! Oh my god!!!" And I stand there smiling and say "Are you gonna take the picture?" People are awestruck when they see the wings open. I think we're doing a good job. When I first conceived of being an Archangel, I looked for outfits that other people were making. I searched throughout the web for a month, and found nothing and no one. There was no such thing. So, I had to invent the character, the costume, the wings, and make them work. We're not ready for flying yet, but we're working on it :) I am the Archangel Raphael (Ray) Do you have a wish? Tell me your wish.

The Archangel Shekinah (Carol)

For a long time I have loved Renaissance Faires. I love making new (old) costumes and seeing the costumes people wear. I have been a Lady pirate, Fairy , Fairy Princesses, Wench, and a dozen more. I traveled with the Archangels, nice guys, great costumes. But seeing people respond with surprise, shock and delight at first seeing an Archangel. Well I wanted to try to be an Archangel also. What a different world! Children come running up to touch my wings and tell me their wishes. People start telling me all about themselves. Instant friendships. Cameras clicking everywhere. Bad guys begging to be forgiven and to receive the slightest touch. People just don't believe their eyes. You know, when you put on the outfit and the wings, You feel like an Angel. My energy soars, the smile never leaves my lips. And the stories we all have to tell on the glide (ride) home. This is a different world for me now. When I wear this costume and people see me I will do my best to be the Archangel Shakinah, (Carol)

The Arcon Eliptica (Janis)

I fell in love with fantasy and magic at an early age. The beauty and freedom of being whoever you want to be has kept my imagination limitless. If you close your eyes, anything is possible. In the past couple of years, I watched as "Raphael" developed the idea of angels. I became interested in the idea because of the beauty and freedom it gives. You feel like a true angel by the way people see you and admire the costumes. Its an incredible feeing to act out a fantasy and truly have fun. -Janis

The Archangel Mikha'el (Michelle)

I contacted the Archangels to ask for help with the "Relay for Life" to benefit the American Cancer Society. I was welcomed with open wings. They came to my aid with enthusiasm and commitment. We worked together to raise over $5,000 to help cancer patients and cancer survivors. Although I have only recently received my wings I have already had the opportunity to see the excitement and joy in the faces of those who see our costumes. I am looking forward to traveling with the group and experiencing the positive energy that seeing an angel brings.
