In Bennett Springs, July 1999. Hop on and I will
take you for a ride , "O" come on now don't be afraid I can drive this thing .Here you hold my purse. WELL DRIVE TO BRANSON MO.Its just 80 miles down the road.I will put my pedal to the metal.We'll be there in no time.But before we go I will tell you who I am , I was born in Kansas City Mo on Oct 31/ and delivered by a doctor CROW ! Believe it or Not! The year of 1933 at 6 :30 p.m. 6 lbs 3/4 oz.Had a mom and dad till in 1935 my dad was killed in a truck accident at Twelth and Trust in Kansas City ,on new years eve on his Birthday. Mom Dad & I were all in the truck when my Dad swerved to keep from hitting another car coming towards us. We went down a big hill and he pushed us out . But he was killed. I got out with out a scrach and so did my Mother.So there she was with a bad heart and me to raise, She married Twice. I was raised by a Stepdad. Lived in Raytown MO . Till we moved to New Orleans La when I was 17 years old. I went to work in a Jewelry store on Canal St .Lived at home and one night I went dancing on the U.SS Prisident Old Paddle Steam Ship There, I met my prince charming .We danced the night away, And it was Love at first site.We mairred two years later ,We had two Beautiful childern, Kerry Lynn & Michael Steven.We were happy in Kenner La. Then we moved to Torrance Calif, Where things fell apart.He kissed me good by at the front door on his way to work & I never saw him again to this day.That's what you call a kiss off. Although I have talked to him. I was left with two childern to raise by myself ,ages 2 & 3 . went to live with Mom and Step dad Who lived in Torrance also.Went to work at North American S & I.D. in Torrance calif.Lived there till Mom & Dad both passed away, 2 years later.Well, there I was again alone in this vast place called California with 2 kids and all alone. A place by then I hated.Got myself a apartment and kept on working. Mairred & divorced again. In 1965 I Met a nice wonderful Man and we were mairred in 1966. He was in the Navy and stationed in San Diego. I had to move to San Diego calif. Where we lived till 1994 He raised My 2 beautiful childern , And we have retired to the Ozarks On 50 wooded acres just us and 4 dogs . Well have ya guessed who I am?Well of course I left out a lot of STUFF! I am not going to tell you everything.Thats in the next chapter.Well just call me Lil everyone else does. My next storys well be about other little fragments of my life, some good some bad & some funny.some sad. |
