I like to be outside:
Raking leaves, climbing trees, chasing bees.
I like to be outside:
Digging holes, clmbing knolls, watching foals.
I like to be outside:
Riding my bike, taking a hike, playing with Mike.
I like to be outside:
Playing softball, walking with Paul, sometimes I fall.
I like to be outside:
Swinging so high, see the blue sky, wish I could fly.
I like to be outside:
Watching a train, hearing an airplane, in the lightning and rain.
In the lightning and rain??
Then, I like to be INSIDE!!

Sometimes when I wake up during the night
And it's so dark without any light.
I pull the bed covers right over my head,
Then tell myself, "Now don't be afraid."
For Mommy and Daddy are just down the hall.
And both will come running whenever I call.
Besides, I'm a big girl now; I'm almost nine
And God is right here with me all of the time.
