~~A BETTER WORLD~~ If just for a day, I could become you And you could somehow become me, The world could drastically change overnite For the rest of eternity. You would be more compassionate If you but knew the burdens I've bore And I would be a lot more patient If for just one day your shoes I wore. Conflicts could be eliminated. Wars would never even start If one side had a clear indication Of what was in the other's heart Selfishness could be banished forever If you really knew another's need. There would be more love for others More concern for giving; less for greed. One can never know another's life Or what's hidden behind their smile But, we could really understand a person If we could just be them for a while.
