In general we like a lot of the same things, we both like the color blue. Some other things are: beautiful music, movies with a happy ending, dancing, potatoes and gravy, flowers and slot machines, not necessarily in that order. We take trips to Tunica, Ms. every once in a while to play the slots. Her husband Bill, goes too, and we have a ball, win or lose. My husband doesn't care to go so we're like the 3 musketeers.
We both love dolls and have collections of them from the 50's and older. We used to buy and sell dolls and do doll shows but stopped doing it a few years ago as they became harder and harder to find. Now we just collect. We both have a lot of "Ginny" dolls from the 50"s but they are getting really hard to find and very expensive when you do find one. We also have a lot of Madam Alexander dolls among others.
We both have a lot of De Grazia paintings. His paintings of children are so simple but beautiful. We also like just about anything Native American. (Could be because we are part Cherokee.)
We still laugh a lot and giggle, mostly when we shouldn't, like when someone is telling a long really boring story or anything else that strikes us at the moment. Our friends used to call us the Giggle Twins and I guess we deserved it. If I know I shouldn't be laughing, I can't look at her or I lose it because I know what she's thinking. We both dislike phoney people and that's another cause for a case of the giggles.
And speaking of laughing, there are very few comedians that we think are funny, and clowns aren't funny at all. (Only our opinion.)
We each have some of our own things too. She makes things, beautiful dolls, jewelry, and a lot of craft things. She knows a lot about vitamins and medicine and things like that. She is a very good hairdresser and can even cut her own hair and give herself perms. I would do it for her but she does better herself than I can do. If I can get her to scan some of the things she makes, I will put some pictures on here.
I write things (like this page) and have a great love for dogs. I have bred, raised and shown them. Actually I didn't show them, I had a handler but I spent years at dog shows and loved every minute of it. I also like to weave, mostly navajo type rugs and wall hangings.
