    BOUTS BEGIN: Friday 7:30 PM and Saturday 3:30 PM
    TOURNAMENT BOUT AGES ONLY: 8 to 15 age determination is January 1, 2010.  D.O.B. cut is 1/1/95 or prior.
    TOURNAMENT BOUT ENTRY FEE: $5.00 per boxer if received by 11/30/09. If received after 11/30/09, the entry fee is $10.00 per boxer. Make check or money order out to Florida Silver Gloves and mail to P.O. Box 3973 Lantana Fl. 33465.
    NON TOURNAMENT BOXERS: No entry fee

NON-ATHLETES $85.00
SHOW SANCTION FEE $300.00 per day

Dear Florida Association USA Boxing Members:

Some of you have had questions regarding the sanctioning of events and who has the right to grant amateur boxing sanctions.
Although USA Boxing is the National Governing Body of Amateur Boxing within the United States, in which Federal Law granted us autonomy under the Ted Stevens Amateur Sports act, the State of Florida has it within their power to grant and supervise sanctions under State Statute 548.005.

For those of you that choose to apply for sanctioning privileges; USA Boxing and the State of Florida have one primary concern, and that is the safety of the boxer.
All rules must apply which include the use of certified officials, specific age and weight divisions, certified physicians and liability and accident insurance for the venue, officials and boxers.
As with all amateur boxing contests, headgear must also be worn and appropriated glove weights.

Those who choose to go that way will be subject to suspension from USA Boxing, if all criteria are not met.
The State Athletic Commission through their given authority will supervise, however for the safety of the athlete, I would encourage all of you to make sure every I is dotted and every T is crossed.
