Pagan brothers claim state titles 04/28/07
In Daytona Beach, brothers Joshua and William Pagan won their respective weight classes in the Junior Olympics state championships at Mainland High School.
Joshua Pagan, 12, recorded a 4-1 decision against Ricky Tomlinson to win the 80-pound class.
William Pagan, 13, posted a 3-2 decision against Prichard Colon in the 125-pound class.
Both athletes, fighting out of the University Boxing Gym's Melbourne Police Athletic League, will advance to the regional championships in two weeks at Wilmington, N.C.
The Pagans also won state titles this year in the Silver Gloves and Police Athletic League competitions.
