New York, NY, May 25, 2005 -- :The Phoenix Lights" has won the Best Director Award of the New York International Flm Festival. The amazing 80-minute feature documentary had its New York City debut on May 2 at the Village East Cinema. It is based on the book, "The Phoenix Lights: A Skeptic's Discovery That We Are Not Alone" by Dr. Lynne Kitei, M.D., and was produced and directed by Steve Lantz Productions. It was shown as part of The New York International Film and Video Festival.
It was the second UFO-related film shown in New York City in the past half-year. This past December, in a memorial tribute to the late and greatly missed Dr. John Mack, "Touched" by Laurel Chiten's Blind Dog Films was shown, about Dr. Mack's work and close encounter witnesses. It first debuted in Cambridge, Massachusetts two years ago.
Those who attended the U.S. East Coast premier of "The Phoenix Lights" were treated to a well-researched, enlightening and intense documentary by "Dr. Lynne," which is also available on DVD.
The ground-breaking movie features 44 credible eye-witnesses, professionals of all kinds including psychologists and scientists, of the mysterious lights and object(s) which appeared over Phoenix in Arizona on the evening of March 13, 1997, puzzling many thousands of people who watched them appear dramatically and move over the city.
The event got worldwide media coverage and generated lots of controversy as to their cause. Also, there were sightings before and since, related in the film.
Dr. Kitei, an internationally-acclaimed physician and before that an actor in theater, movies and TV films, witnessed, videotaped and photographed them before and after March 13, while others did so on the night of the mass sighting. It launched her on a life-changing seven year investigative journey seeking out witnesses and enriching her own inner life in doing so. Before she revealed her identity, she was known as "Dr. X."
In a review of Dr. Kitei's book, Lee Earle of "UFO Research Queensland" in Australia writes: "It's a sad fact of our society that witnesss of unexplained pehenomena feel the need for diplomacy, tact and sadly, secrecy." That is a feeling and a fact that many of us who are UFO witnesses know all too well.
The Phoenix Lights were not Dr. Kitei's first UFO sighting. In February 1995 she and her husband, also a physician, watched three orbs, three to six feet wide, in a triangular formation over their house in Paradise Valley. And, again, on January 22, 1997 she saw UFOs, as well a on other ocassions.
Ever since her first sighting ten years ago, Dr. Kitei felt motivated to learn more about what she had witnessed and to educate the general public about UFOs and related anomalies, under the heading of "Unexplained Phenomena," which includes inter-related subjects.
The Phoenix Lights, flying in a triangular formation or part of a triangular shaped object, moved her forward even more. Several witnesss, writes Earle, sensed "purpose and power inherent in this object," a feature some UFO witnesses described, as it the source behind the object was aware of them watching.
Ironically, this remarkable mass UFO sighting occured in the 50th anniversary year of the Roswell, New Mexico incident of July 1947.
To come out in public, first as an author with her book and, now, with her film, which premiered a few months ago back home, Dr. Kitei has taken a courageous step which cannot be taken back. She has faced criticism from both debunkers and a few within Ufology, all, unfortunately. undeserved and unwarrented. She is the Chief Clinical Consultant at the world-famous Arizona Heart Instittute Imaging-Prevention-Wellness Center in Phoenix, and heads a prestigous health education center.
As a health educator, Dr. Kitei has been well-known for her TV spots and programs on NBC stations beginning a quarter-of-a-century ago. People who know her call Dr. Kitei a brilliant, compassionate and transformative person. She brings all that into her book and movie, the later thanks to the work of producer Steve Lantz.
Of her TV work, one reviewer noted that "TV Guide" once called her a "woman pioneer of medical communication" for her NBC shows. Dr. Kitei is listed in "Who's Who Among American Women."
From her bio, this is said of her previous work: "Before her medlcal training, Dr. Lynne appeared in over 30 movies, in featured and starring roles in professional musical comedies, including 'Alice In Wonderland' with Sherman Hemsley (in a Philadelphia production), 'Oklahoma' with Gordon MacRae, and 'Guys and Dolls' starring Betty Grable." She also played "Florence Arizona" in the movie, "Raising Arizona."
The Phoenix Lights, after eight years, remain unexplained, despite a failed military effort to disprove them and the mass media downplaying, dismissing and debunking them. The deeply affecting testimony of the witnesses shown in the movie is utterly remarkable, sincere and credible, and the mystery of the lights' engmatiic origins remains an open question.
In the links below we include two excellent articles from Phoenix daily newspapers, one of which was about her talk at a conference at a medical university with Dr. John Mack and a screening of "Touched" (in the "Arizona Daily Wildcat" by Sarah Stanton, 2/24/04) and the other article in "The Arizona Republic" by Jan Jacobsen (3/19/04). Dr. Kitei does not know what the Lights are, except something very extraordinary, which she ponders in her book and now her film, of which she the executive producer.
And, again, it is crucial witness testimony, in her amazing book and movie, that speaks of that astounding unsolved mystery, along with the extensive research into the "Lights" and the meaningful context in which they appeared, -- personally, culturally, historically and geographically.
Perhaps it is fitting that a heart imaging physician did this research, a former skeptic driven by scientific and, yes, spiritual curiosity to find out and share what she has learned with the public about what was seen on March 13, 1997, and the unseen forces and sources behind the remarkable display.
"What is essential is invisible to the eyes," said the gentle boy from another world in the classic book, "The Little Prince." "It is only with the heart that one rightly sees."

New York City, June 1, 2005 -- There have been several unexpected synchronicites recently in connection with "The Phoenix Lights" movie.
*** Sunday, May 1, 2005 -- I saw "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" movie today at the Village East Cinema, the same theater where I would see "The Phoenix Lights" the next evening. After the openng sequence with the DOLPHINS where they leave the Earth, saying "Thanks for the fish," two animals are shown: First a BIRD and then a HARE or RABBIT, and then ARTHUR Dent's home is shown. The bird made me think of the PHOENIX and the HARE or RABBIT of how often the RABBIT appears in movies about SPACE or ETs!!
*** Monday, May 2, 2005 -- Today at was at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce's office, where I will be doing business news reports for its newspaper, "Brooklyn's Progress." I opened the newspaper to pages two and three, and in the corner of page three was an ad for "PHOENIX," a housekeeping and office cleaning service!
*** Monday, May 2, 2005 -- Just prior to the showing of "The PHOENIX Lights" this evenng, there was a short film called "Mr. Happiness," abut a street enetertainer in LAS VEGAS, Nevada. During a taping he did for a car dealership, there is someone there dressed in a WHITE RABBIT costume, making our Rabbit syncs connection, not in a space or UFO movie, but just prior to one!
*** Friday, May 6, 2005 -- An item I received today on TodayonSpace.com was about "India's Launch of a Remote Sensory Satellite. When clicking on the item the first item that popped up was an ad for the "University of PHOENIX Onlne."
*** [--- Friday, May 6, 2005 -- Anders von Bergen, from Finland (see the "Project Wonderland Chronicles" S.P.A.C.E. e-book), reports his latest syncs in the "Phoenix and Alice." He reports seeing three running hares running across the road by his home and reversing their run when he mentally requested it, a dream of his pupil Alice and on the PHOENIX as an ancient Egyptian figure, a bennu, and its connection to the soul or "ka" of the god Ra. ---]
*** Sunday, May 8, 2005 -- After having dinner at the Frontier Restaurant on Third Avenue and East 39th Street, with its Southwest U.S. (New Mexico, Arizona) decor and wall paintngs, I passed The PHOENIX Garden Chinese Restaurant on East 40th Street, between Third and Second Avenues.
*** Saturday, May 14, 2005 -- I attended a meeting of The Mars Society of New York today at the Epiphany Branch of the New York Public Library, The speaker, President Ed Fisher, mentioned the International Mars Society's role in the next robotic mission to Mars, the PHOENIX Scout Program, to be launched in 2007. Fitting in with the "WHITE RABBIT" syncs was a glass bookcase displa in the room of a stuffed toy RABBIT for the book "Thell Me Something Happy Before I Go To Sleep" by Joyce Dunbar and Debi Gliod.
*** Wednesday, May 25, 2005 -- This afternoon I had to visit the office of State Senator Carl Andrews on Flatbush Avenue in Kensington Brooklyn. I had never been there before. As I arrived at his office, I noticed across the street a store: The PHOENIX GIFT Shop, on the corner of Midwood Street at Flatbush Avenue. When I got home, I looked at Whitley Striebers website's News section, where I saw that "The PHOENIX Lights" movie won the Best Director Award at the New York International Film Festival.

"THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX"
Are Harry Potter and the wizards of Hogswart lurking around?
All of a sudden, we are getting "PHOENIX Synchronicities" centered around the screening of "The Phoenix Lights" movie
These new "syncs" are unusual associations playing out in real time and places, beyond mere chance, and in contexts that associate meaningfully. This is consistent to the RABBIT images in the "WOW! Contact" experiences, a pattern of the "WOW! Contact," as reported in the "Project Wonderland Chronicles." The RABBIT, as reported above, has even gotten into the PHOENIX act!
