The Firewall Fuel Fittings are an exact drop in replacement for the original stock, fragile, plastic fitting you have on your firewall right now.
They are old, they are brittle, and they will crack, blowing gas all over the engine compartment or behind the firewall , leaking gas onto the trans. & ground.

I had a machine shop duplicate the mounting plates using a lazer, and are an exact fit.
The tubing I bend , put the rolled beaded ends on the heavy wall tubing to hold onto the fuel hose --exactly as the original did---
It's a bullet proof solution and a final answer to get the gas to the engine without worrying that the firewall fitting is gonna fracture & leak.

Two white, one R'H front doors off a 90 Carat and a 87 Maroon GL---no bangs-- no dents--no rust---complete with glass---no mirrors, or interior door panels--$145.00 each--
Is the sliding door on your Vanagon dragging, grinding on the way open and closed, not closing or opening right?
The roller bearings & guide roller bearing are suffering from petrolis neglectus, and seizing up.
There is no way to lubricate them, as they are sealed bearings and just worn out from age.
Here is a totally rebuilt rear hinge assemebly, with the roller bearings replaced, the guide roller replaced, the circlips, piviot spacer's and collars replaced, even the has a new door weather strip included, the piviot pins dissassembled, cleaned and regreased with high temp / high pressure grease.
The hinge / roller assembly is as good if not better than new.
The assembly is now NLA from VW and if you could get it the price is $537.00
The parts to rebuild the hinge cost $219.00 and some change.

Here is a brand new VW issue TPS to cure your off idle blues, poor fuel economy, and engine hesitation problems.
If you have a poor, wandering, uncontrolable Idle, the TPS is more than likely not working or just plain worn out.
I now have two throttle positioning switches available--then that's it--no more forever.

If your finding your Van is stalling, having off idle
problems, and are pretty sure you have TPS problems, it may not be the Throttlle Postioning switch itself.
It has a cam with operates it, makes it open and close at the right time, so the ECU has the right information of when to have the engine at full or no fuel.
This plasic cam operates the TPS.
It is a wear item--How many times does the TPS open and close durring one day?
Anyway--here is a new TPS operating cam , and the required retaining clip to hold it to the throttle shaft.
Prior to changing the Throttle Postioning Switch itself, I'd change the plastic cam first--it most likely is your problem.

If your Van is having a hard time
idling right, It very well could be the charcoal cannister is saturated.
They should be changed every 100,000 miles or so--weather they need it or not.

They have now been moved into the VW obsolete parts list and when the current stock is depleted , there will be no more.
If you have a leaking , saturated , junk charcoal cannister, and your idle is wandering all over the place, it would be a real good time to make a move and replace it.When these ar all gone they will be history, and I have no idea how you'll get your gas emissions recovery system woking right--you'll be screwed & tattooed big time)
