History
Von Jarrow Shepherds was established in 1974.
Actually it began in my heart many years before that with the first German Shepherd that I met at about ten years of age. After a long time of begging my parents to allow me to get a German Shepherd I was given a pup when I was about 12 years old.
"Rinty" and I learned alot together, we began in a 4-H Club for dogs. We learned about obedience training and other aspects of dog care. I was thrilled to win a placing in the very first Obedience competition that we entered competing with other 4-H Clubs. I was impressed by the intelligence of the breed and how quickly they responed to training....their willingness to please their owner. The other thing that always impressed me was the noble..."Look of Eagles" that the German Shepherd is known for. This was the begining of my lifelong love of the breed.
