Guitarist Jay Swinson

WSD: As far as songwriting goes, who writes what? Is it a group effort, or just one or two members?

Joe: Kris does almost all riff writing. He comes in with a bunch of stuff and we sift through it and piece things together. Danny and I do a lot of the lyric writing. In the end we all work together on it.

WSD: Do you get ideas for songs from real life, fantasy, current events?

Joe: We get a lot of our ideas form current events and life. Mostly life issues.

WSD: What are you currently listening to?

Joe: A ton of stuff. Dew Scented, Amon Amarth, Kreator, Callenish Circle, Vadar, The Haunted, The Crown, King Diamond, Strapping Young Lad, to name a few.

WSD: Anything in your CD collection that might shock/surprise some people?

Joe: Yeah………………………………………… alright, I got an Enya cd. [WSD: Nothing wrong with that! Hey, at least you didn`t say N`Sync!!]

WSD: Name 5 Metal albums that you think are MUST-HAVES. Name 5 that you wouldn't use for skeet shooting!

Joe: Must haves- Judas Priest/Painkiller, Iron Maiden/Piece of Mind, Slayer/Reign in Blood, At the Gates/Slaughter of the Souls, Testament/any

Skeets- Pull! Korn/all, Limp Bizkit/all and future albums, Metallica/after the black album, I try very hard to block out the lame stuff. And it's working.

WSD: How is the Metal scene in New Jersey?

Joe: It needs more support! More people need to come out to shows, and support the bands live.

WSD: What are DTA`s touring plans?

Joe: Since we´re not on any label yet, all of our touring comes out of our pocket. That limits us a little, but we plan on doing some short runs up and down the east coast this year.

WSD: What´s the funniest movie of all time?

Joe: For me that would be a toss up between Mel Brooks History of the World, or Monty Python´s The Holy Grail.

WSD: Last word, Joe! Make it good!;)

Joe: I want to thank you for your time, and for supporting us in past years, you rule! I want to thank all the people who support us as well………Keep it brutal!

[Will do! Thank you `bro!]
